A surprising step away from the trademark disco and new wave pop sounds of their first two EPs, the new track from NY glam trash sweethearts Scissor Sisters is a deliciously sleazy indicator of what direction their 2012 release will be moving toward. Produced by Boys Noize and featuring the incredible NY hip-hop artist Azealia Banks (who co-wrote the song), the song highlights the band’s experimentation with thick electro sounds and rap verses from lead singer Jake Shears. As huge of a step away from their traditional sound, the fact that this track is still unmistakably Scissor Sisters shows testament to talent as a group.
So, while we’re all waiting for their fourth [untitled] album to come out, enjoy this uncomfortable video for Shady Love.
